#1 - The Journey Back to Art
Share
Art has always been a part of me. As a kid, I spent countless hours drawing, sketching, and bringing ideas to life on paper. Through middle school and into college, creating art felt natural—something I just did without question. But life has a way of pulling us in different directions, and for nearly 20 years, I stepped away from it completely.
During those two decades, I built a career, started a family, and focused on other passions, like music. While I never lost my love for creativity, picking up a pastel again wasn’t something I had seriously considered. Then, in 2021, something changed. The desire to create, to express, and to bring visions to life through color came rushing back. What started as a simple urge to sketch turned into a full return to painting. It was like rediscovering a part of myself I hadn’t realized was missing.
Now, every piece I create is fueled by that renewed passion. Whether it’s a musician’s portrait, a vibrant landscape, or a commissioned piece, I pour everything into my work. Art is more than just paint on a canvas or pastel on paper—it’s a way to connect, to inspire, and to share a piece of myself with others. And after all these years, I can say with certainty: I’m right where I’m meant to be.
